Working within the School Infrastructure NSW (SINSW), Megan as the been the technical lead on the development and implementation of the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) strategy which requires industry and stakeholder leadership to evolve the construction industry from traditional construction to modern methods of construction. DfMA is in its infancy in NSW but early results indicate the approach is providing program savings of up to 30% while costs are comparable with traditional construction. The DfMA strategy is being trialled on $1B worth of projects in NSW in 2020 – 2021.
